Clitheroe 1 - 1 Mossley
Kurt Willoughby continued his fine form as Clitheroe earned a point in the mid-table clash against Mossley.
It was a first half that could have gone either way but it was Clitheroe putting the pressure on and looking the more likely to score and it was a much better first half display than what we have seen in recent weeks from the Blues.
As the second half progressed Mossley started to up the tempo putting some good passes together but the solid blue wall in the Clitheroe defence continued to be stubborn and were not allowing anything through. Captain, Ian Rowlands in the heart of it putting in a man of the match performance.
Alex Newby could not believe he had not put the home side in front just past the hour mark when he turned his defender and scraped his shot just wide.
It was the visitors who struck gold however on the 73rd minute when a fantastic through ball from Ian Latham was met by Mason Duffy and he finished coolly past Chris Thompson.
It looked to be another home performance to forget for Simon Haworth's side who looked deflated after the goal.
However, when 'keeper, Thompson decided to create a moment of brilliance racing past an oncoming defender and heaving a long ball forward, top scorer Kurt Willoughby was there to pounce to take a 90th minute equaliser.
