Simon Haworth said: "Development of young players is an important factor in my football philosophy and this allows me to do that with a good friend Chris Worthington and will be a huge opportunity for young players in the Ribble Valley and the surrounding areas.

We will support the academy with coaching hours and football experience and will allow the students to learn from the staff and players at Clitheroe FC. We will benefit from full use of the college facilities including training pitches, physiotherapy treatment rooms, analysis rooms and other equipment which will be a huge help to myself, my staff and the playing squad.

Its a really exciting partnership and development in building Clitheroe FC footballing standards and structures for many years to come and provide a real football pathway for young players."
