Brad Carroll is an honest, athletic defender with good ability who was keen to come to Clitheroe. He had a loan spell with Burscough last season so understands the league.

Alex Newby is an exciting player with good intelligence and technical ability, a player to excite the supporters. He had a loan spell at Kendal last season scoring 8 in 12 starts.

New boss Haworth said:

"Brad is someone who will really develop under our coaching structures and prosper as a player.

Alex can play as a second striker or attacking midfielder and will again improve massively with our coaching standards we set for him and will go on to have a real bright future in the game.

The most pleasing thing again with both Brad and Alex was the desire to be part of what I'm building here, turning down clubs in Conference North to be here. I love their desire to play for Clitheroe and they have an excellent work ethic, exactly what I want from my team.
