Last Thursday saw Shawbridge host a sold out evening with Sean Dyche and Simon Haworth, in aid of our fundraising appeal for the new stand.
Arranged with the help of Burnley FC's media officer Pete Oliver, the short-notice event sold out within hours of the club receiving tickets.
The evening began with Sean talking about his early career, and gradually moving into coaching, and then taking questions from the audience about his time at Burnley and thoughts of the future.
After the pie and peas interval, Simon Haworth talked about his time at Coventry and coaching time at Shrewsbury, and then onto his time and experience of non league football.
The night concluded with a surprise auction which saw Ashley Barnes' match winning shirt being sold for £300, and Tom Heaton's signed gloves going for £100.
In total over £3000 was raised on the evening for our fundraising appeal. Thanks to everyone who came and took part.
