The margin of victory earned both sides two added bonus points and means they will now face off next weekend in a potential Group One decider with a place in the final on the line.

Group Two remains incredibly tight with all four clubs tied together on three points after two 0-0 draws over the weekend.

As a result, all four will have a chance of topping the group and earning a place in the final on Saturday, 1 May.

While Clitheroe shared the goals around in their win over Rimington, Stanley’s young side was helped to victory over a Stockport County academy side by a six-minute hat-trick from teenage striker Lewis Mansell.

Stephen Sama and Kevin Spirelli got the other goals for the Reds, who now face Clitheroe next Sunday afternoon with a one-point advantage at the top of Group One.

A draw could therefore be enough to take Ged Brannan’s side through, although the door would still be left open for Stockport to grab top spot with a bonus-points’ win over Rimington.

In Group Two, bonus points (awarded for a clean sheet and scoring three goals) could also come into play on another last-day decider as the festival gears up for a gripping finale.
