A strong Brig side visit Shawbridge tonight

By Jack Towers

Bamber Bridge are the next visitors to Shawbridge and after a slow start to the campaign, Clitheroe who sit in 13th place will look to gain some momentum before facing this season's early high flyers South Shields away on Saturday.

Simon Haworth's side lost 3-1 at the hands of Colwyn Bay on Saturday, a result that did not reflect the efforts put in to the game by the Blues.

In this fixture last season Clitheroe cruised to victory thanks to an Alex Newby hat trick. Things may not be as quite straight forward this season however, with the travelling side having a strong start to the season.

Bamber Bridge have lost just once so far, this season scoring sixteen goals and conceding just six and a win could send them in to the top two.

The Blues on other hand will be looking to improve on their home form and build on the promising second half display against Colwyn at the weekend.
