After what was a shaky start to the season, the Blues are now unbeaten at Shawbridge since mid-September.

Brighouse have picked up just four points from a possible thirty away from home this season and need a result to keep the gap from the bottom at a high.

Clitheroe on the other hand, sit in a comfortable ninth position in the table and a win could take them in to the top six.

Danny Byrnes could be in contention to start on Saturday after his midweek brace sent the Blues flying into the semi-finals of the Lancashire Challenge Trophy along with midfielder Brad Carroll who also put in an inspiring display.

After Tuesday night’s win Willoughby said he thought his partnership with Alex Newby is “getting stronger” and that he is “pleased” assists are coming to this game.
