The first of a Radcliffe double-header

By Jack Towers

Blues boss Simon Howarth goes into this weekend’s big game against Radcliffe Borough with his side in their form of the season.

Clitheroe have just two losses in the last six league games and have won their last 3 games in all competitions and find themselves just three points off the top six.

Shawbridge was blessed with the return of Daniel Brady last week and will have him available again for this weekend’s game.

Our hosts on Saturday do not come in to the game in the best of form with just one win in six, four of those however a draw.

Striker Kurt Willoughby is the main talking point heading in to the game with the young forward leading the league’s scoring charts with fifteen goals this season.

The Blues do not have the best record away from home this season with just two wins on their travels which makes it a key opportunity for Radcliffe who desperately need a win to avoid the drop zone.

Clitheroe will also be without their Assistant Manager Ben Kay, who has joined Chorley as their groundsman. The club wish to thank him for everything he's done this season.

A win for Clitheroe can put real pressure on the top half of the table and start a possible pursuit on the playoffs.
