The Blues still sit in the top six due to other results in their favour last week but knowing a result against Hyde will be crucial with the home side in fine form this season sitting nine points above Clitheroe in fourth.
Hyde are unbeaten at home this campaign but Clitheroe have a good record in recent times against the Tigers and ended their long unbeaten run beating them 2-0 at Shawbridge earlier in the season.
There is no doubt that this time out it will be made trickier after the departure of key man Alex Newby to Chorley yesterday.
Newby has starred in the Blues side this season but manager Simon Haworth is confident a suitable replacement can be made and that there's "no pressure" on the other players to perform.
There is a late assessment to be made on Dimitri Tuanzebe who has been down with an illness in the last few days but Haworth is confident he will be available.
Blues are still without midfielder Ross Dent who completes the second of his three game suspension but apart from that Clitheroe have a full squad to choose from.
