Yesterday’s friendly win against Nelson featured two new signings for Clitheroe.
The first is 29 year old towering striker Oliver Wood. Wood featured for Colne in their 16/17 play-off run which earned him a move to Lancaster City, but a lack of appearances and other commitments resulted in a move back to Kendal Town for part of last season.
Our second signing is 21 year old midfielder Lewis Sugden from Scarborough Athletic. Sugden started his career with Chesterfield and then joined Farsley Celtic where he was named Young Player of the Year in 2016. Lewis then moved to the States to play for the University of Tampa in Florida, before returning to Scarborough Athletic.
