The Blues could move into the play off places with a win over Witton on Tuesday night.

Clitheroe host mid table side, Witton Albion at Shawbridge tomorrow night as the hunt for qualification into the play offs heats up.

The Blues sit just a point outside the play off places going into Tuesday evening's clash and if fifth-placed Burscough fail to pick up all three points away at Bamber Bridge tomorrow, then Clitheroe will leap-frog them into the top five with a game in hand.

The home side come into this encounter in tremendous form having won six of their last seven league fixtures. The visitors on the other hand are without a victory in their last four matches, so Clitheroe are surely favourites to come out on top.

Albion however certainly won't be an easy team to beat, boasting a dangerous attacking threat in prolific striker, Rob Hopley. The former Colwyn Bay front man has notched an impressive twelve goals in fifteen appearances for the visitors since signing for them back in November, so the Clitheroe back line will certainly have to be wary of his presence.

The Witton defence will also be on red alert, as The Blues possess a talisman of their own in striker, Sefton Gonzales. The deadly finisher has netted an astounding ten goals in his last seven games for Clitheroe and will definitely pose a constant threat to the Albion goal tomorrow night.

Another Clitheroe forward to watch closely is Louis Mayers. Alongside putting in a man of the match performance on Saturday afternoon, Mayers also kept a calm head to curl home a stunning winner for The Blues, ensuring they took all three points from their clash with Radcliffe Borough.

In addition to the exciting attacking talent on show this Tuesday night, the fact that neither side's defence has been particularly tight of late suggests that we could be in for a goal fest. Witton have only managed one clean sheet in their last nine while the hosts, Clitheroe, have only registered one clean sheet in their last eleven.

The Blues could be on the verge of three straight wins, and on reflection, the excitement of tomorrow night's match promises to be as high as the stakes involved, so why not get down to Shawbridge and get behind the Clitheroe lads!

Come on you Blues!
