Latest Result...Clitheroe 4 - 1 Grantham Town (FA Trophy Preliminary Round)
Martin Fearon replaced James Mann in goal, Russ Clarke replaced the suspended Liam McManus in defence and Craig Sargeson and debutant from the reserves Mark Sharples replaced Dave Hankin and Ryan Fisher in midfield.

Clitheroe eventually won this game with goals to spare after a spirited fightback from the visitors. The first half was fairly even but the Blues had a slender halftime lead thanks to a well taken goal in the 17th minute from Carl Lomax who fired home into the top corner after being played in by Paul Osborne. Grantham took advantage of some slack play early in the second half and equalised in the 62nd minute with a good finish that gave keeper Martin Fearon no chance. Their joy was short lived though as in the 64th minute Craig Sargeson's low cross was hammered home from close range by the on-rushing Ryan Fisher. Substitute Chris Ward did well to latch on to a through ball and hold it up before passing squarely to Craig Sargeson who drilled home from the edge of the penalty area in the 75th minute. The fourth goal came out of nothing in the 80th minute when Carl Lomax closed a defender down and forced the ball home under pressure from the visiting keeper. Clitheroe now travel to face Bradford Park Avenue in the next round on Saturday 18th October.

Team: Fearon, Clarke (Ward), Shuttleworth, Flannery, Smith, P.Osborne (Morley), Sargeson, Sharples (Fisher), Johnson, Lomax, Redhead (Ward). Subs not used - Pilkington, Mann.
