Shawbridge to host charity match in aid of Clitheroe Wolves' new home

Clitheroe Football Club is delighted to be hosting a special charity match to help raise funds for Clitheroe Wolves’ Highmoor Project.
The town’s highly successful youth set-up has acquired a long-term lease for the former Grammar School playing fields at Highmoor in Clitheroe.
And along with grant support, the Wolves are working hard to raise a six-figure sum to restore pitches, changing rooms and parking facilities to make the pavilion and surrounding playing areas the club’s permanent new home.
As part of the fund-raising drive, a team of coaches from the various Wolves teams will play a team of Wolves ‘Legends’ at Shawbridge - the home of Clitheroe FC - on Saturday, 22 June.
Former Wolves players who have confirmed their attendance include Ross Dent, Ryan Cattermole, Oli McClean, Chris Bailey, Charlie Collinge, Danny Woodhead and John Paul Fagan.
Kick-off is at 2pm with admission £2 for adults and free for children.
The clubhouse bar will be open, with food and drink available.
Clitheroe FC hopes as many people as possible will be able to attend to support such a worthwhile cause.
