Two new faces to join the behind-the-scenes team

In response to the recent advert seeking a commercial manager for the club, the committee received two expressions of interest and met both individuals yesterday evening. Both are local and very successful in their chosen fields, and they wanted to offer support on a voluntary basis.

With both possessing complementary skills, one intimately plugged into the local community and one operating in at IT sales environment at a national level, it was agreed that the roles would lend themselves to separate Local and National Commercial manager roles. Both will be formally introduced shortly once the roles have been fleshed out. Meanwhile, Chair Anne Barker said:

“We were delighted with the calibre of the two individuals and their desire to help in whatever way they could with their local football club.  Whilst the core playing budget has already been set with the management team for next season, with almost three months to go before the season starts and with already plenty of commercial irons in the fire, I am very hopeful that any extra resources generated by our new team will go directly to strengthening Simon and Gareth’s hand in the close season, to ensure that the club is well placed to carry on the tremendous work, which they started last season.  I am also very keen to announce our two new colleagues formally as I know they will quickly become familiar faces around town and on the ground.“

Kath Lord-Green – Area Commercial Manager

"Hello I'm Kath Lord-Green Executive Director and Station Manager at Ribble FM a local Community Radio Station based in Clitheroe. Being a passionate life long football fan and all things community I decided part way through last season it was time to support my nearest local club, Clitheroe FC. The time and money I spent travelling to bigger clubs (I wont name them) for not a great standard of football left me feeling a bit 'swindled' and having been to numerous Clitheroe FC home and away games I felt that The Blues had to be my new focus and football fix. Clitheroe offers me passionate football, a chance to be part of a great set up and it's handy to get too! I wanted to do more than just shout at the side of the pitch though! So here I am now the Area Commercial Manager for the club. I think meeting businesses locally on a daily basis gives me the chance to combine my business with pleasure whilst bringing money into the club. We at Ribble FM have a great relationship with the club already and we can only go one way now.. UP. I can't wait to get started. “c'mon the blues"

Dave Hendry – Commercial Manager

"I hail from the North East but I've lived in Lancashire since 2001 having attended UCLAN in Preston. Since then I have worked in the media industry, advertising specifically, for approximately 18 years. I started my career in press working for the CN Group, moving to the Guardian Media Group in 2006 where I worked for the Manchester Evening News. In 2008 I moved into online for GMG, looking after the MEN's portfolio of 23 websites. In 2009 I moved to a tech start up called Specific Media which would eventually become VIANT now owned by Time Inc, I worked there until 2014 when I made the move to Rocket Fuel. Head quartered in Silicone Valley, California, Rocket Fuel specialises in online (programatic) marketing. I'm Regional Director here at Rocket Fuel Manchester, from where we look after advertising clients and agencies based in Northern England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland.

Outside of work I live in Wiswell, with my wife Jaclyn, our two children Amelia and Austin and Greek rescue dog Dayla. I've been attending Clitheroe FC regularly since moving here in 2015, I'm a huge football fan being a Geordie and I'm looking forward to helping Clitheroe FC increase revenues for the 2017/18 season and beyond! Come on the Blues."
