By Andrew Jackson

We are delighted to announce our new manager

Clitheroe FC is delighted to announce the appointment of Phil Brown to the vacant manager’s role. Phil was latterly manager of Lancaster City for three years, during which time he took them to the Evo-Stik Division 1 North title in 2016/17 and won the Presidents Cup. In addition, he is assistant head of sport (football) at Myerscough College.

Acting chair Lee Sharples said:

‘Phil was the stand out candidate in a strong field and after an extensive interview with the club directors, I am confident we have found the right man to deliver our three year plan to create the foundations for our club to be able to sustain a place in the higher league.’

New manager Phil Brown said:

‘ I am delighted to be appointed Clitheroe FC manager and thank the board for giving me this exciting opportunity. Work starts straight away and I am looking forward to managing a team the supporters can be proud of.’
