Blues gained a point in what was a well below par performance.

Simon Garner made just one change from the previous game at Droylsden, replacing himself with Richard Burns. Sefton Gonzales returned to squad after a few weeks absence and new signing from Nantwich Town, Jordan Scott also was on the bench.

Radcliffe started much the brighter and took a quickly took control of the game. Blues had to thank Andrew Dawber for two excellent saves from Bevan Burey and Sam Grimshaw, which stopped the visitors taking the lead.

With the Blues struggling to stay in the game, Simon Garner replaced James Walker on 25 minutes.

On 30 minutes, Blues took the lead against the run of play. Good work from Richard Burns saw him send a cross in to the six yard box and the ball struck the chest of David Sherlock to divert it in to the net.

Blues were lifted by the goal and Liam Hutchinson had a couple of good chances before the break. The first one on 40 minutes was a shot blocked by a Radcliffe defender. His second effort a minute later, was comfortably save by Radcliffe keeper Chris Cheetham.

Blues made a second substitution on 43 minutes when Sefton Gonzales replaced Zach Clark.

Half Time - 1-0

Gonzales had a good chance on 49 minutes, but his shot went wide. Cheetham made another good save from Hutchinson's shot on 58 minutes.

Blues final substitution was on 59 minutes when Jordan Scott replaced Liam Hutchinson on the right side of midfield.
Within a minute, Radcliffe levelled the scores when Daniel Lafferty converted from close range.

The later stages of the game saw Radcliffe take control again and they looked the more likely to score. Jack Hindle and Sam Grimshaw both had good opportunities to win the points.

Much to the Blues fans relief, the defence held out to earn a point.
