Clitheroe 0-1 Trafford.
Clitheroe had the better of the early exchanges with Sefton Gonzales threatening early in the game. He muscled his way clear of the defence, but was dispossessed by a desperate challenge after he shaped to shoot. However, it was Trafford who opened the scoring on 14 minutes. After another home attack failed to find an opening the visitors broke away with a strong suggestion of a foul in the middle of the pitch. Rob Worrall drove down the right flank past the defender into the box before pulling the ball back to Mike Burke who chested it past Hakan Burton from close range. There was very little else of note to happen in a dour first half.

Clitheroe failed to raise their game after the break while Trafford did enough to protect their slender
lead. The clearest cut chance saw Gonzales release Matty Barlow into the box on 61 minutes only for his shot to be pulled across the face of the goal when the goal was at his mercy. A flurry of late chances gave the home fans some hope but a superb point blank save by Trafford keeper Sam Booth from a Domaine Rouse header as the clock ticked down ensured the visitors continued their superb record at Shawbridge.
