The visitors needed to win this game to stand a chance of avoiding relegation and they gave their healthy following in another bumper crowd hope when they took the lead in the 14th minute, Jake Jervis firing an angled drive home from the edge of the box.
Clitheroe were back on equal terms in the 25th minute when Danny Wilkins collected the ball close to the byline before neatly working his way into the goal area and slotting home from close range. Jack Massey shot the Blues ahead in the 34th minute after good approach work and Danny Wilkins sealed the points and Hednesford’s relegation with a 53rd minute winner.
