Paul adds to Shawbridge striking department

Paul Moore is pleased to announce the signing of 21-year-old striker Chris Mason from Blue Square North outfit Guiseley AFC.

Chris was at Shawbridge to watch his new teammates defeat Curzon Ashton last Saturday before a deal to bring him to the club was concluded.

After spending five years at Bury progressing through to the reserve set-up, he had a trial with Maltese club Floriana before returning home in September 2009 and signing for Chorley.

Chris spent time in Sweden with Ange IF before a second move to Chorley preceded a transfer to Welsh Premier League side Bala Town.

He joins Clitheroe after a spell in West Yorkshire with Guiseley AFC.

Scott Bakkor, a 19-year-old forward, is also now registered with the club having played for Cheshire Football League club Rylands.

Scott is unavailable for today's trip to New Mills, although will come into the reckoning for Tuesday's trip to Stainton Park and the fixture with Radcliffe Borough.

Both played and scored in Tuesday evening’s friendly with Hurst Green.

Meanwhile, Paul has made the decision to release Jordan Williams who has joined Burscough, while Tom Murphy has signed for Nelson for the remainder of the season.

All at Clitheroe FC would like to wish both players well with their respective moves
