The club would like to announce the departure of Left Back - Darren Holden from Clitheroe Football Club & would like to wish him the very best on his future playing career.

Darren joined The Blues in October 2022, going on to make a total of 39 appearances for the club over this season & last. Darren's contribution to the club is very much appreciated and he leaves with everyones best wishes for the future.

Manager Danny Caldecott shares his thoughts:

"I had a conversation with Darren before the Hednesford game explaining as to why we recruited another defender and as to why he wouldn’t make the squad for that game. I was open and honest with the situation."

"As in football, when good players aren’t playing, other teams show interest. Darren had several clubs contact him and has since decided to move on, which I understand and respect."
