We have two high profile pre-season encounters this weekend, starting with Blackpool FC XI on Friday night, kickoff time is at 19:45PM BST. Followed by Fleetwood Town Development Squad on Saturday 22nd July, kickoff time is at 15:00PM, to which are all being played at the EcoGiants Stadium.

These games follow a number of high profile pre-season friendlies for the Blues, to which we encountered Accrington Stanley at the Wham Stadium last Sunday. 170 travelling Clitheroe fans witnessed an impressive first half display, which saw the half end 0-1 to Clitheroe.

Clitheroe struggled to get a foothold in the game second half and Accrington's class shone through as Stanley ran out 3-1 victors, capped off by an excellent Bailey Sloane header.

Prior to the Accrington game, David Dempsey's men have enjoyed some really positive results & performances, most notably against a Blackburn Rovers XI where the Blues ran out 4-0 victors. Prior to that we have had successes at Barnoldswick (1-4) & at Hurst Green (0-6).
