Blues reach out to next generation of fans with ticket offer

The Blues are delighted to announce their free season-ticket policy for youngsters in and around Clitheroe.

A decision to drop the price of adult season tickets to just £50 for the 2019/20 campaign has produced a fantastic response, with sales going up from 45 to almost 250 as crowds continue to grow at Shawbridge.

And in an effort to further encourage the town to enjoy supporting their club, youngsters are now being offered the chance to watch the team – flying high near the top of the BetVictor Northern Premier League North-West Division under manager Phil Brown – for nothing.

Club chairman Lee Sharples said: “Part of our current strategy is to reinforce the role of our club at the centre of the community of Clitheroe.

“The atmosphere at the games is fantastic and the team has responded with several wins, playing exciting football under our new manager.

“We are actively encouraging young supporters to come and join the fun through this initiative.

“So back the Blues and come and support your local football team. We hope to hope to see you all at a game soon.”

The football club is currently in the process of delivering free season tickets (for league games only) to schools in the local area for youngsters in years 3-9.

Over 3,000 have so far been handed out with more to follow. All recipients must be accompanied to games by an adult, but adult admission prices will be reduced from £8 to £5 in such circumstances.
