John McGrath leaves the Blues for personal reasons that the club wholeheartedly respects.

'Super' John McGrath fast became a firm favourite with supporters in his short time here & it is with regret we have to announce his departure from the club, for personal reasons that the club respects.

John has been an exciting player to watch throughout this season and has scored some tremendous goals that will live long in the memory of everyone at the club.

John McGrath joined the Blues in the Spring of 2023, making his debut in the 2-2 draw with Prescot Cables on 18th March. It wasn't until the 23/24 season where John really made his mark on the team, starting this season in great fashion, with a memorable performance against Padiham FC in the F.A Cup scoring a fantastic 15 minute hat trick.

McGrath went on to make a total of 27 appearances for the Blues, scoring 8 goals in the process.

We wish John McGrath all the very best in the future from everyone here at Clitheroe FC.
