Senior players Billy Priestley and Gary Stopforth will lead the Blues in their Lockstep Trophy final against Lancaster City on Saturday.
The pair are taking over first-team managerial duties in an interim capacity following the departure of David Lynch as boss.
And their first job will be to lead the team into a final date against the host club at the Giant Axe (KO 3pm).
Central defender Priestley and midfield man Stopforth both have wealth of playing experience behind them and have been big figures at Shawbridge since signing at the start of last season.
And the duo expect to have most of the squad with them at Lancaster as the Blues aim to collect a piece of silverware.
A 1-0 win over Ashton Athletic on Wednesday night secured Clitheroe’s place in the final against a City side which overcame Burnley’s U23s 2-1.
Ashton face Burnley in a third-fourth place play-off at 12.30pm, also at Lancaster, on a bumper finals’ and fun day.
It’s pay-on-the-gate at the Giant Axe with day tickets costing £7 and children free.
The Blues will welcome all support as the club continues to look forward to a positive future and the start of the Northern Premier League season on Saturday, 14 August.
