The Blues strengthen even further before the opening game of the Pithing in Northern Premier League Season, by signing highly rated midfielder Alex Henderson on Loan from Accrington Stanley - subject to F.A ratification.

Alex has impressed immensely during his youth development at Stanley & has covered a number of positions catching the attention of the management team at Accrington, leading to a professional contract being signed only last month.

Alex has featured for Accrington Stanley's first team facing Blackburn Rovers & the Blues. Here's what Accrington Manager John Coleman said after offering Alex a professional contract.

"Alex has done really well with the youth team, stepped up to the 23s and been very impressive. The couple of games he has come on so far in pre-season he has looked the part and we are pleased we have got him over the line."

Accrington Academy Manager, Duncan Fearnhead added:

"A versatile player with ability in multiple positions including midfield, centre-back, and full-back; Alex is a local player and holds a strong affinity for the club, regularly attending away games as a fan."
