Clitheroe Football Club was devastated to hear of the untimely death of well-known club man Terry Bridgeman.
A familiar figure around town, Terry had been a senior steward at the ground for over five years and was a key member of the club’s volunteer group. He was always highly visible on match days, liked nothing more than interacting with supporters and friends while he oversaw the game, and was always the first to arrive and the last to leave.
He was also a stalwart of the Lads United group, which is affiliated with the club and which met every Thursday to play football at Roefield.
He will be sadly missed by friends, colleagues and players alike.
To commemorate his life, we will hold a minute's applause before our game with Nantwich Town this Saturday.
Rest in peace, Terry.
