Treble Tonic For Blues

The Blues have secured the loan signings of three exciting young prospects from AFC Fylde to bolster their squad.

Winger Rhys Long, midfielder Harry Jones and left-back Mane Walder have all arrived at Shawbridge on month-long deals.

The teenage trio all signed professional deals with Fylde last season after coming through the youth system with National League North side.

All three helped the Coasters reached the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup – with wins over Morecambe, Sunderland and Cambridge – with Maine captaining the side that won last season’s North West Youth Alliance League title.

The three will increase the options for the Blues’ management of Billy Priestley and Gary Stopforth going into Saturday’s FA Trophy tie against Liversedge at Shawbridge as Clitheroe look to make it into the third qualifying round.
