In a game attended by 1057 fans they were treated to a game that started very steadily but chances were created by both sides. After minutes Ross Dent making his 250 appearance for CFC struck the base of the post with a header from a Darren Holden cross. It was then Leek who probably had the best of the remainder of the half with Man of the Match Chris Thompson making 3 very good saves. Half time 0-0. Clitheroe came out the better in the second half and within 5 minutes took the lead with a great strike from Danny Wilkins curling one into the top corner from 18 yards. After that Clitheroe looked good in possession with a great team performance and took the 3 points deservedly. Great advert for this league.
