Clitheroe 1 Hednesford 1
The huge crowd could not look away for a moment as both teams served up a fantastic display. Veron Parny for Clitheroe was in electric form and could have taken the lead on 13 minutes when he had successive shots blocked. Ross Dent for Citheroe then saw a flying header from a corner tipped superbly over. The second half more than lived up to the first. Clitheroe took the lead on 49 minutes when Emerich Poilly laid the ball to the rampaging Sam Olawumi whose first shot was blocked before heading in the rebound. Hednesford turned up the heat and Clitheroe keeper Liam Isherwood pulled off a string of fine saves. Substitute Jack Byrne equalised with a shot across the keeper and chances came at both ends. Clitheroe looked most likely to score at the end but with a minute to go, Clitheroe's Luke Gill could not evade the keeper as his sliding shot was well saved.
