Clitheroe fought hard against Bury AFC who proved to be up for the cup. Bury a good chance in the first minute but was headed wide. Clitheroe themselves had an early chance in the 4th min from a dangerous corner. Bury had a corner but cleared. In the tenth minute The Blues got a good attack going and ball goes near the back post and is slotted home by Max Cane. 1-0.

Bury pile on the pressure to get an equaliser and have a good shout for a penalty waved away by the ref. Long throw for Lee Pugh creates a great chance but keeper makes a good save. The game goes into a lull with neither side creating an easy chance. Half time and CFC still lead 1-0.
Bury attack on 55 min and a slight mistake allows Conner Comber to sneak in at the near post to slot home. Clitheroe get another great chance in the 66 min but keeper pulls off a good save. The Blues create a series of four corners but can’t slot one home. Both sides have attempts in the closing minutes but the game finishes level at 1-1.

All to play for when the replay takes place on Wednesday night. Kick Off 7.45pm.
