Player turned manager, Sean McConville, is a household name around Lancashire, having honed his midfield craft at our good neighbours, Accrington Stanley. He joined Accy in 2009, before two short stints at Stockport County and Barrow, respectively, returning in 2012. He joined Clitheroe at the start of the 2024-2025 season, as Player-Manager, before transitioning to our full-time Manager in December, although he can still be seen donning a pair of boots from time to time as Manager-Player.
