Clitheroe Football Club are delighted to announce the appointment of John Hurst as Club Commercial Manager. John will become the club's first official Commercial Manager, as the club looks to develop relationships with businesses looking to partner & advertise with the club for the forthcoming season and beyond.

Developing the commercial aspect of the club is essential for healthy and sustainable growth, as we look to move the club forward in all areas to help us build for the future.

John shares his previous experience and his ambitions to help the club reach it's potential in terms of commercial partnerships.

"It’s an absolute privilege to have joined the backroom team here at Clitheroe FC as commercial manager. I’m joining the club at such an exciting moment with the club already securing the manager we wanted in Jimmy Bell. I firmly believe this appointment sends out a strong message to all our future opponents and also any prospect partners who either already back us or would like to work with us."

"My role is simply to help this club to win off the pitch, drive its commercial strategy and improve existing processes. What I bring to this role a wealth of experience in both business and football development having worked within commercial sales for a number global brands within the fast moving consumer goods industry."

"I actually started my career off working within sports and football development working with volunteers, clubs and leagues in Greater Manchester. Anyone who knows me knows how passionate I am about football and seeing the picture."

"Outside of work, I’m heavily involved at Clitheroe Wolves as a key volunteer and a manager for both my children’s teams. In terms of next steps for Clitheroe FC and myself…. Our worlds have only just collided. I can’t wait to get into the detail and start to maximise the clubs commercial revenue and help build future budgets to keep moving forward."
